When I first started this piece, I wanted to make it to where each of the brushes I created was different and add different aspects. I created a brush of the Earth, and after that, to make the picture more realistic, I changed the saturation of the picture and the vibrance. I decided to stick with yellow because it made it look like the Earth had lights on. After I then created a brush of space. I created a new layer then moved the space layer behind the Earth to make it feel more realistic.
Next, I created a brush for the horse and the space station. Once I create the brush, I adjusted the colors along with it. To create a more realistic piece, I dropped a shadow to make it look like the horse was walking on top of the Earth. For the space station, I wanted an effect that would make the station pop more. I decided to create another layer and use the brush again but made the color red. After I used the brush, I also dropped a shadow to get the idea of the station flying over the Earth.
To make my piece more proportional, I added little space stations using my brush and cast the same effect on them, like how I did the big one. I decided to make the space stations larger than the horse to make it more proportional. Using my brush, I went back and added a blur under each little station to cast the station's effect flying over the earth for my final product.
I wanted to create all different brushes using different colors that brought a more historic look. In the first picture, I kept the brush black and added a light grey color on top so that the bridge would be more defined. In the second picture, I also used a black brush of the Arce de Triumph, then created another layer and went back over the same brush but with yellow. I decided to choose yellow because I liked the undertone yellow look that created a more realistic look.
In the third picture, I created a sunset for the background to change my piece's mood. In the process, I first created a brush of a sunset; to get the sunset's different colors, I went over the sunset in different colors. To make it look ombre, I took a standard soft brush and added color to blend all the colors. In the second picture, I wanted the bridge to run into the mountains to make the road look like it was never-ending. I defined a brush preset of mountain ranges and used different blues to create the color to create this. I took another soft brush to fade it into the background of the Arce.
I decided to add a wolf because I wanted to create the illusion that the wolf was walking into the mountain range back to its home. When I created the brush, I first used a white color brush to make the wolf defined to pop more, and then I went back over it in brown. I decided to cast a shadow to make it more realistic for my final product.
In the first piece, I created a brush of the skyline of New York. I decided to make this brush because I wanted to create a graphic effect of the city. I went over the city with a pink brush to cast—an effect. In the second picture, I then created a brush of clouds. I went over the clouds with a different color brush multiple times and added various effects. What made me decide to do this was I wanted a sunset, but instead, I created the sunset within the clouds through different brushes.
For the final product, I created different brushes of hot air balloons. I stuck with a black paintbrush because I didn't want to take away from the city and the visual effect. I overlapped the brushes to create the appeal that there were more in the distance.
